While anyone over the age of 12 might be frowned upon at the local mall for taking a picture with Santa Claus or the Easter Bunny, fans young and old alike need not be shy to line up for a snapshot with another mythical pop-culture figure.
Ozzy Osbourne is inviting fans to have their pictures taken with him during a string of in-store appearances scheduled around the release of his new album, Down to Earth, according to his publicist. In lieu of the conventional autograph, the godfather of metal will have the moment with each fan preserved for posterity with a Polaroid.
The five-city promotional trek begins October 16, the day Down to Earth drops, in Hollywood, and wraps up October 20 in Chicago. Eleven days later, Osbourne heads to Tucson, where his two-month A Night of Merry Mayhem Tour with Rob Zombie, Mudvayne and Soil will commence (see "Ozzy, Zombie To Wreak Merry Mayhem On Tour").
