Prodigy Still Recording Fat Follow-Up...

The Prodigy are still recording the follow-up to 1997's The Fat of the Land, which will now be released in 2002 rather than this year.

Few details are available about the British electro-rock group's fourth album, which was titled Always Outnumbered, Never Outgunned in early 2000, according to a spokesperson for the Prodigy.

The reclusive trio, programmer Liam Howlett and vocalists Keith Flint and Maxim Reality, recently performed at four European festivals "a good sign that we can expect something rather soon from these guys," their spokesperson said.

That something was nearly the Prodigy's first U.S. live dates in three years, until the group dropped off Jane's Addiction's Jubilee Tour because of the recent terrorist attacks in the country. They were hoping to play three dates in late October along with fellow British dance act Stereo MC's, though the dates were never confirmed, their spokesperson said.

In June, the Prodigy released Experience: Expanded, a remastered version of their 1992 debut LP, Experience, that included a bonus disc of 11 rare tracks
