One Hole Of A Run
The Courtney Love-lead group, Hole, has decided to pack it in. After three albums and over seven million sales, a statement released by Courtney Love on Thursday officially announced the decision to put Hole to rest. She went on to say the decision came after three years of waiting, and as a result of a lot of distractions. The distractions referred to include the band’s legal troubles, aside from Courtney’s personal ones, including a Geffen Records lawsuit over breach of contract. However, Love will not be leaving the music scene just yet as it is reported that she is currently working with former Hole drummer Patty Schemel and former 4 Non Blondes singer Linda Perry on material that is expected to be released in 2003. A statement from Hole guitarist Eric Erlandson referring to Courtney and himself showed the split as a friendly end, saying, We’re incredibly proud of the music we’ve made together, but it seems like time for both of us to move on.

Alien Ant Farm Take A Break
As a result of the recently reported tour bus crash involving Alien Ant Farm, the band has decided to take a break from performing. The length of the off-time has not been determined, the band has only said that the hiatus will continue until further notice. According to nme.com, the AAF tour dates in Europe as well as their forthcoming US tour dates have been cancelled. In an injury update from the Alien Ant farm camp, it is reported that David Zajic, the band’s security guard, remains in hospital with undetermined but critical injuries.

Health Problems Continue For Silverchair
Silverchair singer Daniel Johns is once again facing problems due to his arthritis condition. According to Undercover.com, the reactive arthritis which Johns suffers from has forced Silverchair to cancel tour dates in Australia. The Silverchair singer issued a statement to fans on chairpage.com, saying, I haven’t been able to even pick up my guitar today, so it’s just physically impossible for me to perform these gigs. The band’s manager has said that the type of arthritis Daniel has usually lasts three months, but in Daniel’s case he’s been battling it for six. It’s reported that the upcoming European and North American dates for the band will go on as planned. We’ll keep you updated.
