Rage In The Cave
Cave In have been forced to delay the pre-production process for their upcoming RCA debut album as a result of their producer Rich Costey currently still being tied up with the Rage Against The Machine/Chris Cornell project. Although the aforementioned band recently broke up, Cornell is still in the process of finishing up his vocal tracks for the bands effort, which is expected to be released through Epic later this year. In the meantime, Cave In instead plan to record 4-5 new songs this month for an upcoming EP release through Hydrahead this summer and according to the band, the material that will be featured on the effort "sounds quite different from what we plan on releasing on our next official album." The group have also been demoing new material as of late, tracks recently worked on include:
"Breath Of Water"
"Lost In The Air"
"Mouth In A Roam"

Cold have lined up Nonpoint frontman Elias Soriano to guest appear on their upcoming new album "Year Of The Spider", which they are currently working on with an early October release through Flip/Geffen being eyed. The album will also find the band once again enlisting the vocal talents of Sierra Swan of Dollshead, who appeared on their latest offering, "13 Ways To Bleed On Stage". Cold frontman Scooter Ward recently commented to MTV about what to expected from the new effort, stating:
"Every time we put out a record, we try to step it up a notch. We'll use more symphonic kinds of sounds, and my vocal style is going to change a little bit because I'm trying out a lot of new things. So I think it's just going to be a step up from the last records."
He also went on to say:
"There's definitely some heavy sounds, but this is more like a heavy Sade record. It's different but it's cool."
