Megadeth R.I.P.
Dave Mustaine, founder, vocalist and lead guitarist of metal pioneers Megadeth announced today that due to a serious injury he will depart from Megadeth therefore disbanding the group after nearly 20 years together. During the first week of January 2002I suffered an injury that caused severe nerve damage to my left arm and hand, said Mustaine in a statement. Doctors told him it will take a year to reach full recovery. In the meantime, continues Mustaine, I will take this opportunity to reappraise my career and my future. For the time being I have decided to exit Megadeth, and explore other areas of the music business where I might make a contribution without being able to play my instrument. I have had a terrific time singing and playing for you while I was in Megadeth, reads Dave Mustaines statement. And I can never thank you, our fans past and present, enough for your loyalty and affection over the years. The announcement comes one week before the release of Megadeth's live DVD titled "Rude Awakening."

Marilyn Manson Sued...Again
Marilyn Manson has been named in a wrongful death suit surrounding the car crash death of a woman last year. Maria St. John, the mother of victim Jennifer Syme, alleges that Manson gave her daughter drugs before the accident. The lawsuit that was filed yesterday claims Syme (who was Keanu Reeves former girlfriend), was provided with various quantities of [cocaine] by Manson at his home and that he was negligent in instructing her to operate a motor vehicle in her incapacitated condition. The suit claims that the next morning Syme crashed her car and died at the scene. St. John seeks unspecified damages. There has been no comment from Manson.
