DEADSY FANS -

We have lots of Deadsy news, contests, and tour information for you...

First, a few words from the band ---

"Having spent the majority of the summer on tour in arenas, theatres and clubs,
Deadsy and I have been so blessed with, and are so thankful for you, the loyal
and ever-expanding Legions who have filled this summer with excitement,
gratification and an overall sense of achievement that isn't related to record
sales or tickets sold.
We in the Deadsy organization are so proud to have a base of support that is
growing so fast and achieving so much...you all have proven that no matter how
much radio or MTV airplay Deadsy does (or doesn't) get, The Legions will only
grow and be more supportive than ever...that fact makes all the hard work MORE
than worth it."

We hope you all made it out to the shows this summer. Keep your eyes on

DYING FETUS: Bus Company Is To Blame For Dutch Gig Cancellation
DYING FETUS have posted the following explanation for the cancellation of the group's show in Hardenberg, Holland, originally scheduled to take place this past weekend:
"We sincerely apologize to anyone who came out to the Hardenberg show and found it was cancelled. It was honestly not our fault, it was completely out of our control, and we regret not being there. We were in London on [September] 12th — our bus dropped us off at the club and then it had to go to the shop for repairs. A replacement bus was supposed to pick us up after the gig and take us to Hardenberg. But the bus never showed up!!!! Everyone had to sleep outside on the sidewalk in front of Club Underworld all night and into the next day — we stayed on the street for 15 hours!!!!! When our fucking bus finally arrived it was way too late to make the Hardenberg gig. We are very sorry for the cancellation. Thanks to Show Line Busing for this wretched fuck-up!"

METALLICA: New Song Snippets Posted Online
An MP3 file containing two new METALLICA song snippets, both of which appear in the latest video on the group's official web site, has been posted online at this location (right-click and choose "Save Target As"). The MP3 features producer Bob Rock's presentation of two short clips: the song that is known as "Look at Myself" (working title), and another cut that had not yet been previewed before.

SLIPKNOT Singer Becomes Dad!
SLIPKNOT/STONE SOUR frontman Corey Taylor has become a dad. His fiancée Scarlett gave birth to 6ib 14oz Griffin Parker Taylor on Tuesday, September 17th. According to Corey, who spoke to Britain's Rock Sound magazine at 9:00 PM UK time, just two hours after the birth, mother and son were doing excellent and said the whole family is overjoyed.

STAIND Complete Tracking Process For New CD
STAIND are almost done tracking the as-yet-untitled follow-up to their multi-platinum 2001 effort, Break the Cycle, at a Californian studio with producer Josh Abraham. Three of the four band members have now completed their parts for the new material, leaving just Mike Mushok to finish tracking all the guitar pieces.
"We are looking at putting like 12 or 13 songs on the record, I would imagine," stated Mushok. "We really just need to finish it and see how all the songs feel."
An early 2003 release through Elektra Records is expected.
