Korn's Jonathan Davis To Open Serial Killer Memorabilia Museum
KORN frontman and troubled soul JONATHAN DAVIS is to open a museum in LOS ANGELES to house his considerable collection of serial killer memorabilia.
Former morgue attendant Davis is working with artist Phil Coleman and architect Arthur Rosenblatt on the project. Through the years he has amassed a disturbing collection of artefacts. These, according to MTV, include:
The Volkswagen mass murderer Ted Bundy drove when he went searching for victims.
The "Pogo" and "Patches" clown suits worn by John Wayne Gacy when he entertained kids at his local children's hospital (he later killed at least 33 people between the ages of 9 and 27).
The 1928 confession letter from cannibal Albert Fish, who killed over 100 children and wrote letters to some of the families of the victims containing gruesome details of the murders
Drawings by Richard Ramirez, the 'Night Stalker', who committed at least 13 murders between 1984 and 1985 and considered himself a disciple of Satan.
Meanwhile, Davis is continuing work with horror novelist Clive Barker and soundtrack composer Richard Gibbs on a DVD that will incorporate paintings by Barker with music by Davis and Gibbs.
Korn release hugely expensive new album 'Untouchables' on June 10.

SILVERCHAIR: No Stand-In Guitarist Needed
Former HELMET frontman Page Hamilton will not be filling in on guitar for SILVERCHAIR singer Daniel Johns during the latter band's upcoming live appearances, SILVERCHAIR manager John Watson told Britain's Metal Hammer magazine.
"While it is true that Page was willing to step in to help out with these shows, Daniel has decided that if he's not well enough to play the guitar, he's not going to be well enough to be a 'frontman' either, so a 'stand-in' guitarist is, unfortunately, not an option," Watson said.
As previously reported, Daniel Johns is suffering from reactive arthritis, with which he was first diagnosed earlier in the year. Unlike the more widely known types of arthritis such as rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis, reactive arthritis is usually not a degenerative condition. This means that nearly everybody who suffers from it makes a full recovery. It occurs in about six percent of the male population usually only once in a lifetime and, as the name implies, it is caused by a severe reaction to an underlying virus. The disease causes swelling of the joints and very considerable pain.
SILVERCHAIR are set to play New York's Bowery Ballroom on Wednesday, June 5th and Thursday, June 6th, to be followed by an appearance in London at the Shepherds Bush Empire on Wednesday, June 12th. The group's new album, Diorama, is scheduled for release on July 30th through Atlantic Records
Make up your mind!

Zombie is scheduled to shoot the clip on June 24 at a Los Angeles slaughterhouse. ...

see I am around old school metal heads all the time and they think anything put out after 95 is nu metal even though some of it is not even..... I have heard all about the agruments over how much nu metal sucks and so forth but when it comes time to listing bands people get quiet because some of the music they may like may actually be considered just that nu metal. I do agree there is alot less original music than their should be but most of this is because a record label flood the market with bands of the same sound after a certain band starts a trend. This happened in the 80's with glam. So it seems nu metal is the lastest to be bashed but what bands are considered nu metal and if they are do they all suck really or is it just cool to say something sucks when it is no longer the cool. As far as korn inventing nu metal I woujld have to disagree I would say Mr Bungle did..... just korn got the credit for it. Also I do not consider nu metal and new school metal the same thing.
