Hopesfall have now dropped off of their April 08th to April 18th leg of dates with Poison The Well, American Nightmare and From Autumn To Ashes, to instead begin work on their upcoming Trustkill debut. The band plan to start recording the effort in an Illinois area studio in mid-April with Matt Talbot of HUM fame producing, while a July release is being eyed.

Getting Kushy
Kush, the group featuring members of Cypress Hill and the Deftones, along with former members of Fear Factory, are said to have now changed their name to the Kush Project, as a result of legal issues surrounding their former moniker.

God Returns To Existence
More plans have been finalized for the Chimaira, God Forbid, Diecast, Five Pointe O and 36 Crazyfists tour. Diecast will be dropping off the bill beginning on April 30th through till May 12th to instead play some dates with Hatebreed and Slayer. During that time, they will be replaced by God Forbid, who will be also be a part of the tour from March 30th through till April 18th. Exact dates for the May leg of the trek are still pending, though Diecast are slated to rejoin the bill once they complete their stint with Slayer and Hatebreed. Meanwhile, it is rumored that Hotwire might join the tour for a leg of dates in May. Downthesun are also rumored to join the outing for a string of dates in April, though no official confirmation has come down as of yet. For now, three new dates have been confirmed for the tour, they are as follows:
April 15th Chico, CA - The Brick Works (Feat. Five Pointe O)
April 24th San Antonio, TX - Sunset Station
April 27th Wichita Falls, TX - The Mac Stack

Replacing Rage
With the break up of the unnamed Chris Cornell/Rage Against The Machine project, Ozzfest has now opened an online poll for people to vote as to who should take the now vacant Main Stage slot for this years bill. Choices for a replacement include:

More Smack
Godsmack will be releasing their DVD documentary "Smack This!", on April 09th. The offering chronicles the bands career all the way from their humble beginnings to their current status as a multi-platinum headlining act, complete with previously unreleased early live footage.

Late Again
Sevendust will be performing their latest single "Live Again" on The Late Show With David Letterman tomorrow today, Thursday March 28th, and on Last Call With Carson Daly on April 03rd. A video for the song was recently shot in Toronto, ON with director Noble Jones (Default, Econoline Crush), and is expected to begin airing shortly.

Jerry's No Hero
Jerry Cantrell will now not be contributing to the upcoming new track "Hero", which will be featured on the "Spider-Man" Soundtrack. Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger and Saliva vocalist Josey Scott will still both be present on the track however, along with guest drumming provided by Matt Cameron of Soundgarden/Pearl Jam fame. In the meantime, a video for the song was recently shot and is expected to begin airing shortly, while the track is set to impact at radio on April 16th. The soundtrack itself will follow, landing in stores on April 30th through Columbia.

Singles To Stay
Korn are tentatively set to issue a CD single for their track "Here To Stay", in the U.K. on May 27th. The bands forthcoming new album "Untouchables" has once again been pushed back to a June 11th release through Immortal/Epic stateside.

Start With A Stronger Delay
Vex Red's upcoming I AM/Virgin debut effort "Start With A Strong And Persistent Desire" has now been pushed back to a July 02nd release stateside.
