Anyone For Power?
Powerman 5000 have written twenty new songs over the past 4 months for their upcoming as of yet untitled new album. At present, the group are currently deciding which songs will make the cut for the record, which is eyeing a mid to late 2002 release through Dreamworks. For now, band frontman Spider One recently posted an update on the bands current situation on their official website, www.powerman5000.com, it is as follows:
"No matter which songs end up on the new record, the most important thing is that it's the best album we can make. It has to feel new and fresh. The tracks from ANYONE FOR DOOMSDAY? are cool, but that album was created in a hostile environment. Certain people just didn't want to be there at the time, and that vibe kinda killed the spirit of those songs. But now, POWERMAN is a new band, and that fire and excitement is reflected in the latest recordings. I want to take the band in many different directions. Expect the unexpected on the next album!"
A statement was also posted on the bands new drummer, it is as follows:
"PM5K has found a new drummer! His identity will be officially announced later this month, but rehearsals with the newest member have already begun. Commenting on the auditions, SPIDER tells us "He came in, sat down, and nailed every song perfectly on the first try. In fact, we all played with such intensity that day, it became clear right away that we were better than ever!"

I Scorpion Alone
Godsmack's new video for the track, "I Stand Alone", will be featured on MTV's "Making The Video" on March 03rd.

Wow.. now we are going to get 2 or 3 hours of crap Rap music videos and one hour of LOUD! a week.

Great.
