God Mix Us
Ill Nio are in the process of mixing two live tracks captured at their recent stop in London, ENG at the Brixton Academy. The songs are, "God Save Us" and "What Comes Around", and are being mixed with Scrap 60 Productions (Dry Kill Logic, Primer 55). They are expected to be used as b-sides on future releases.

Back To Darkness
Coal Chamber have once again changed the title of their forthcoming new album, this time back to the originally planned title of "Dark Days". The effort is eyeing a tentative May release through Roadrunner/Island/Def Jam and is expected to be preceded by the single, "Fiend".
I expect the album title to change again next week... i mean this is only the 3rd time the title has changed!

May The Team Sleep
The forthcoming debut effort from Team Sleep, the side project of Deftones frontman Chino Moreno, is now expected to see a release in May through Tone Def/Maverick. Meanwhile, The Deftones themselves have begun writing new material at their own studio in Sacramento, CA and are said to already have the skeletons of around 2-3 new tracks completed. It is unknown at present when the group will officially begin recording, though a release late this year is tentatively being eyed. In the meantime, it appears as though Chino Moreno will make a guest appearance Tommy Lee's forthcoming new album, "Never A Dull Moment", on the track, "Ashamed". The effort is due in stores on May 21st through MCA. Chino is also tentatively set to make a guest appearance on the upcoming new album from Taproot, though it now looks as though such a collaboration may not take place, due to conflicting schedules.

Unreleased Cobain track surfaces
By JAM! Music

While the surviving members of Nirvana scrap it out with Courtney Love over the fate of unreleased Kurt Cobain material, a rare vocal performance by the late singer has surfaced.

Rolling Stone reports that the Seattle band Earth has issued the previously unreleased song "Divine And Bright" as a bonus track on a reissue of the group's 1995 "Sunn Amps And Smashed Guitars" EP.

The EP, which is being released through No Quarter Records, is not being promoted as carrying the Cobain performance, which was recorded in 1990. Label owner Mike Quinn told Rolling Stone they don't want to exploit Cobain's presence on the recording.

"If people buy it 'cause they're some Kurt-worshipping type and it makes them happy to have one more track with him on it, that's fine, but people who like Earth will buy it for Earth," Earth singer Dylan Carlson told Rolling Stone. [More on Nirvana]

Roadrunner Artists on Resident Evil Soundtrack
March 12th Roadrunner is going to release the soundtrack to the upcoming movie - Resident Evil. Leading the soundtrack is Slipknot's 'My Plague', totally recut. Ill Nino went into the studio earlier in the week to re-record what the band calls an "almost death metal" version of 'What Comes Around'. That too will be on the Resident Evil soundtrack. And adding to the excitement surrounding this album here at Roadrunner is its inclusion of a new Coal Chamber track, 'Something'. This will mark the first time we all get a chance to hear any of the new Coal Chamber.

Cold Sets Title on New Album
It will be called "Year of the Spider." The band will enter the studio in the near future to record. No release date or producer has been set.
