It seems that gODHEAD have indeed parted ways with band drummer James O'Connor and are currently trying out replacements for him in Los Angeles, CA. If all goes according to plan, the group will hit the road for a trek alongside Pigface in late November.

Whats going on?

Oct. 8th, 2001 | 07:50 pm
mood: accomplishedaccomplished
music: Aaron Lewis (staind) - Whats Going On
posted by: immorak in loud

http://www.whats-going-on.org/images/AAAcover.jpg

There is a site (http://www.whats-going-on.org/) for the song 'Whats Going On' featuring CHRISTINA AGUILERA, BACKSTREET BOYS, MARY J. BLIGE, BONO, DESTINY'S CHILD, JERMAINE DUPRI, FRED DURST, EVE, NELLY FURTADO, NONA GAYE, DARREN HAYES, JA RULE, WYCLEF JEAN, ALICIA KEYS, AARON LEWIS, LIL' KIM, JENNIFER LOPEZ, NAS, NELLY, NSYNC, P DIDDY, ?UESTLOVE, BRITNEY SPEARS, GWEN STEFANI, & MICHAEL STIPE BAND.

On September 5 and 7, 2001, an ensemble of superstar artists gathered in New York City to record a new version of "What's Going On," Marvin Gaye's classic call for compassion, healing and love, in order to raise awareness and funds to fight against the scourge of AIDS in Africa.

Clear Channel Radio & MTV To Premiere "What's Going On" Across The Country On Friday, September 21

In the wake of the tragic terrorist attacks on the United States on September 11, Artists Against AIDS Worldwide, realizing the recording's powerful healing message extended beyond the scope of the project's original aim, decided to donate 50% of its proceeds to The United Way's September 11th Fund and 50% to the AIDS relief effort which includes the Global AIDS Alliance, among others.

There are about 51 different re-mixes of the song.
I saw the video for 'Whats Going On' on MTV the other day.
Its not so bad of a song.. i guess.. at least the money they make off it (if any) is going to help people out.

There is a flash lyrics version of the song which you can listen to and read right here!
when you read the lyrics just click on the verse and it will play! Its wicked how that works!

I know this isn't really a loud entry but i like to keep up on music news and how the terrorist attacks are or might effect the music we listen to.

keep it loud!

The PRP Presents: Insert Witty Remark Here ->

Oct. 8th, 2001 | 11:25 pm
posted by: immorak in loud

Another week here at the PRP and I'll get right to the point as I take over the
duties of this weeks mailout.
First, some distressing news. Which is worse? The fact that wookubus happens to
dress like a woman from the waist down or that PRP's number one head honcho
shares a birthday with Snoop Dogg and thinks that Whoopi Goldberg is one of the
greatest actors are generation has known. Yes..........quite!
We had a right to know though and I feel a weight off my shoulders now that this
delicate information is in the public domain. For those of you who haven't
already deleted this email in disgust over the matter you get to marvel over the
following text which this week is brought to you by the font Times New Roman and
the case size 10. Enjoy.
