Hits, obscurities they're all Rotten Apples to the Smashing Pumpkins.

The disbanded Chicago rockers will release an 18-track best-of package on November 20, and fans who act fast can get a second disc of rarities along with it.

A limited-edition version will include a second CD titled Judas O, featuring B-sides and rarities from the sessions for Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness, Adore and MACHINA/The Machines of God. The Pumpkins, who called it quits late last year, released a rarities album in 1994 titled Pisces Iscariot.

Rotten Apples will include two previously unavailable tracks "Real Love," recorded during the MACHINA II sessions, and "Untitled," the band's final completed track. "Untitled" surfaced on the radio earlier this year and was recorded in late November by frontman Billy Corgan, guitarist James Iha and drummer Jimmy Chamberlin.

A DVD will also hit stores in conjunction with Rotten Apples, featuring the Pumpkins' video collection and behind-the-scenes footage.

Meanwhile, Corgan continues to work on his debut solo album.

Bin Laden Won't 'Forget About Dre'...

It looks like Dr. Dre is going to release the song he wrote about the capture and execution of the prime suspect in the U.S. terrorist attacks of September 11th, Osama Bin Laden. Dre has apparently written and is in the process of recording the new track. He doesn't mince words either, seeing as the track is called "Kill Bin Laden." Dre even describes the song as preparing "a pine box for his dead body." In the wake of the September 11th terrorist attacks, Dr. Dre has already pledged $1 million to Los Angeles radio station KPWR-FM's charity, the Power of a Dollar Relief Fund, which benefits the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund.

I found this kinda funny so i thought i would post it.

Digging A Hole...

According to various sources, including a recent Road Journal posting at American Head Charge's official website www.headcharge.com, Mudvayne have dropped off of the Pledge Of Allegiance tour with Slipknot and System Of A Down. As of yet, no official statement or reason has been given, though it is heavily rumored that the cause of the band dropping off of the bill is a band members lingering drug problem, which is also speculated to have caused similar cancellations of tours and dates in the past. As a result of Mudvayne leaving the trek, it seems American Head Charge may join the bill earlier than previously expected, while No One will most likely stay on for the entire duration as well.

Soulfly frontman Max Cavalera is planning to complete the mixing of three rough demos later this week, two of which are brand new songs, while the other is a cover of Palehead's "I Will Refuse". However, the songs are not expected to see a release, though it looks as though Max himself may produce the upcoming new effort from Soulfly, which will most likely begin recording late this year / early next year.
