The PRP Newsletter...

Back up on that ass with a gangsta lean. Well, what to say, the events of the
past week have definitely shook up the PRP staff and even though none of us are
American, its still something that hits close to home. If anything, it has at
least brought a lot of people closer together, and that's something this world
definitely needs more of. That being said, its also great to see System Of A
Down at #1 this week, there's hope for the industry yet. Not much else to say,
other than a notice that we have re-posted the Best Of 2000 feature that ran
earlier this year, since a lot of people complained that they didn't get to read
it all the first time around. So if you care to look at it, or just want to
reminisce on the fond memories of the old black purple and yellow design you can
find it at:

System Of A Down Singer Makes Statement...

System Of A Down frontman Serj Tankian released a statement on Tuesday regarding the tragic events that occurred in America last week. A posting last week by Tankian on the band's web site sparked controversy and death threats towards the band. Here's what Serj had to say:

"Our whole world has been sickened by the terrible events in New York and D.C. I've been calling out to friends all week to make sure they're ok. My heart goes out to all the families suffering because of this madness.

As American citizens, we are in the privileged position to be able to speak our hearts, even if other people disagree. I highly value the fact that I can make a statement with my intention being to sponsor peace and understanding of the tragic events that have been unfolding. I ask only that, for the long-term survival of our planet, we all concentrate on positive energies in our lives while pursuing justice.

I would not be alive if not for the American orphanages that raised my grandfather after the Armenian Genocide of 1915, so I have a lot of love and respect for the good things that America has and can continue to achieve."
