Broke From Crank
(hed)p.e. have completed tracking all of the instruments for their forthcoming new album and band frontman Jahred and guitarist Wes are now gearing up to head to the east coast to begin tracking vocals for the effort and work on mixing it with producer Machine (Pitchshifter, Vision Of Disorder). The album is expected out late this summer / early this fall through Jive/Zomba and the band are expected to hit the road in support of it in the coming months, possibly alongside Korn this summer. In the meantime, the band will be contributing a cover of Jimi Hendrix's classic, "Crosstown Traffic", to the upcoming NASCAR "Crank It Up" compilation album due out this spring through MCA. At present, tracks set to show up on the album are as follows:
Nonpoint - "Circles"
Darwin's Waiting Room - "Fast Car"
Fenix TX - "Get Out Of My Dreams (Get Into My Car)"
Tantric - "Cross The Line"
Buckcherry - "On The Road Again"
Slayer - "Highway Star"
(hed)p.e. - "Crosstown Traffic"
Gov't Mule - "Drivin' Rain"
Fear Factory - "Cars" (Remix)
Les Claypool - "Hot Rod Lincoln"
Staind will also be contributing an as of yet unannounced previously unreleased track to the effort as well.

Giving A Machine A Future
Adema and Sinisstar have tentatively been tapped to open for Static-X on their upcoming headlining tour in April/May. At present, Static-X have the following two dates announced:
March 30th San Bernardino, CA - Gotham
April 30th Huntington, WV - Huntington Civic Arena (X106.3's 5th Anniversary Party)

Dogs And Shrooms
Dog Fashion Disco recently hit the studio to record a handful of new demos for their next album with Nothingface bassist Bill Gaal helming the controls. At present, the band are gearing up for a stint on the Mushroomhead, Lamb Of God Tour which will kick off this Thursday, May 21st, and are rumored to be planning to follow it up with another string of dates alongside Mushroomhead in May. The band are then expected to begin work on their new album shortly after that with an as of yet undetermined producer. An October release through Spitfire is being planned

Damned Demons?
It is rumored that The Damned will be dropping off of the Demon Speeding Tour, which features Rob Zombie and Sinisstar, shortly. At present, it is expected that both of the remaining bands on the bill will perform longer sets to make up for the vacant slot.
