My Skinned Kittie
Kittie, Skinlab and My Ruin are set to hit the road together on the "Fuck Your Label" Tour, which is slated to kick off late this Month and continue through till June. Another Los Angeles, CA based act is expected to be added to the bill shortly, while dates and venues for the trek will be announced in the next week or two.

Welcome To The Studio
Pressure 4-5 are planning to hit the road with Earshot and VENT in tow in April. Dates and venues are expected to be announced shortly.

Welcome To The Studio
Taproot are currently hard at work tracking new material for their upcoming new album, "Welcome", with producer Toby Wright (Korn, Alice In Chains). Band frontman Stephen Richards recently talked to Rolling Stone about the new effort saying:
"It's funny, but if you asked me two years ago who my least favorite band in the world was, it would have been Pink Floyd, but right now they're just about all I'm listening to, and Bowie. All the songs are heavy on content and really take you on a journey. We're just more into melodic stuff. And that will be reflected in the record... I mean, people will be able to tell it's Taproot, but this album's a lot more creative and probably a lot more enjoyable."
At present, an August / September release through Velvet Hammer Music/Atlantic is being planned. In other news, the band have launched a contest through their official website, www.taprootmusic.com, in which one lucky fan will win the chance to hit the studio and spend a day with the band as they work on the new record. No Fear For The Factory
Fear Factory's break-up has now been officially confirmed by their label, Roadrunner Records. A statement from them on the matter is available here. The split was apparently ignited by band frontman Burton C. Bell's unhappiness with the group as he announced to the rest of the band this past Saturday, March 02nd, that he would be leaving them. It seems that the split wasn't entirely amicable either as band guitarist Dino Cazares recently commented to LAUNCH on the situation stating:
"Burton pussed out and quit Fear Factory."
This seemingly adds to the rumors which had been spreading as of late regarding inner tension between Cazares and Bell. Despite the groups dissolution though, plans are currently being made to release their never before heard 1991 16 song debut album, "Concrete", which was helmed by then at the time unknown producer, Ross Robinson (Korn, Slipknot). The band will also still be hitting the studio this coming Tuesday, March 12th with producer Rick Will (Incubus) to track new material for an upcoming "Terminator" video game, a recording session which is expected to serve as their final time recording together. In the meantime, aside from Bell whose immediate plans for the future are currently unknown, the members of the group will remain active through their side projects as guitarist Dino Cazares and drummer Raymond Herrera have a project dubbed Asesino, which also features Static-X bassist Tony Campos. The band have already begun recording material and Slipknot bassist Paul Grey/#2 has contributed a guest appearance. Meanwhile, Cazares and Herrera are also members of Brujeria, while bassist Christian Olde Wolbers has been involved with Cypress Hill and Kush, a project which also features Herrera, Deftones guitarist Stephen Carpenter and B-Real of Cypress Hill.

Fear Factory will have one last album. It might be recordings from 1991 but it will be 16 new songs to me.
