eleven Slow fingers
finger eleven recently entered Metalworks Studios over the holiday season to record a new track entitled, "Slow Chemical", with producer David Schiffman (System Of A Down, Red Hot Chili Peppers). The song is set to show up on an upcoming WWF Compilation CD expected out in mid March and will also be used in a promotion surrounding WWF wrestler Kane. In the meantime, the band have been continuing work on writing new material for their next outing, while band guitarists James Black and Rick Jackett have also been working on producing a new demo by Canadian up and comers, Slurpymundane, which they hope to complete late this month.
What happened to Type O Negative doing Kane's music? WTF?
Disturbing The Queen
Disturbed frontman David Draiman recently hit a Los Angeles, CA area studio to record vocals for a track composed by Korn frontman Jonathan Davis and Richard Gibbs, for the upcoming "Queen Of The Damned" Soundtrack, which is due out in stores on February 19th. Davis originally tracked the vocals for the material in the film itself, but due to record company problems, was not allowed to have his vocals appear on the soundtrack versions. As a result, it seems as though a few different frontmen, possibly Chester Bennington of Linkin Park and Wayne Static of Static-X, will also be brought in to lay down vocals for the soundtrack versions of the 5 different songs created for the film, though the originals, complete with Davis's vocals, are still expected to appear in the film itself. In other Disturbed news, both Fuzz and Danny from the band will be at the N.A.M.M. Guitar Convention this week and the group are still hard at work writing material for their next album, which they plan to hit the studio in early March to begin recording with producer Johnny K. (Machine Head, SOiL). Tentative track titles include:
I hope that the Davis tracks in the movie make it to the net!...
This also seems liek it could be a very kick ass soundtrack!

Mad At Sno
The recently tracked electric version of Mad At Gravity's song, "Walk Away", will be featured on the SnoCore New Music Sampler CD, which will be passed out at SnoCore shows during the tours run. Also included on the disc will be tracks from the Dilated Peoples, OTEP, Finch, Custom and more. Mad At Gravity are currently planning to head into the studio in the next month or two to begin work on their forthcoming ARTISTdirect debut, which is eyeing a summer / fall release.
American Head Charge have announced a number of headlining U.K. dates, they are as follows:
February 25th Portsmouth - Wedgewood Rooms
February 26th London - Garage
February 28th Manchester - University
In other news, the band recently had to cancel their performance in New Haven, CT, due to band frontman Martin Cock coming down with the flu. However, the rest of the group took to the stage during the end of 40 Below Summer's set and performed a rendition of their track, "A Violent Reaction", with 40 Below Summer vocalist Max Illidge handling the vocal duties. During the performance, 40 Below Summer also performed a new track which they recently wrote entitled, "A Season In Hell".
Tourcharging America And Canada
More dates have been confirmed for Machine Head's "Supercharging America" Tour, which also features Darwin's Waiting Room and 3rd Strike, they are as follows:
February 18th Sauget, IL - Pop's
February 21st Omaha, NE - Ranch Bowl
February 23rd Lawrence, KS - Bottleneck
February 25th Denver, CO - Ogden Theatre
March 01st Orangevale, CA - The Boardwalk
March 03rd Seattle, WA - Graceland
March 04th Vancouver, BC - Commodore Ballroom
March 05th Portland, OR - Roseland Theatre
Despite being previously advertised for the tour by various venues, it now seems as though Local H will not be joining the upcoming SnoCore Rock trek with Alien Ant Farm, Fenix TX and Glassjaw. Though an official statement has yet to be released on who will be the final act on the bill, it looks as though Snapcase will now not be performing either, as the band themselves have confirmed that they were offered the tour, but were forced to decline as a result of the dates conflicting with their upcoming studio time. At present, it now seems as though Earshot will be performing on the tour in their place, possibly rotating a leg of dates with Adema. Though any official word has yet to come down on the matter.
