*NSYNC's Role Goes Pop
Not only were *NSYNC booed when they accepted the American Music Award for Favourite Pop/Rock Group last night, but the group has also been dropped from the upcoming Star Wars prequel. On the suggestion of director George Lucas' 13-year-old avid *NSYNC fan daughter, all five guys had been cast in split-second non-speaking parts as Jedi Knights that were offed in an attack. Here's what *NSYNC's Joey Fatone had to say about being scrapped from the film: "People made a big deal about it. We're not going to be in it and I'm not going to comment on it anymore". At least George has salvaged a wee bit of integrity. Meanwhile, when the band accepted the Fave Pop/Rock Group AMA last night to boos instead of cheers, Justin Timberlake quipped, "Oh, quit booing. U2's gonna get Grammys." Let's hope so.
