Hatebreed have confirmed that Slayer guitarist Kerry King has lent both his vocals and a guitar solo to their new track entitled, "Final Prayer For The Human Race". The song will be included on the bands forthcoming new album, "Perseverance", which is currently close to being finished mixing wise and is slated for a March 26th release date through Stillborn/Republic/Universal.
Glassjaw have confirmed on their official website, http://www.theglassjaw.com , that they are in fact in a Los Angeles, CA area studio recording their forthcoming new album for I AM Recordings with producer Ross Robinson (Korn, Slipknot). The outing is expected to see a release around spring next year, most likely in partnership with Virgin.
A Hairy Rejection
The Rejects, a group which features members of Slipknot and Static-X, will be playing 2 homecoming shows at Hairy Mary's in Des Moines, IA on January 05th. The group are expected to perform 2 sets during the night, one being all ages and the other 21 and over. The performances will mark the debut of the bands new bassist and are expected to be the groups last shows until the release of their upcoming new album, which is now expected out in the spring.
Red Hot Record
The Red Hot Chili Peppers have completed tracking all of the instruments for their forthcoming new album and are currently recording the vocal parts. An April/May release through Warner Bros. is being eyed for the effort and tentative track titles include:
Coal Chamber are tentatively planning to launch the track "Fiend" as the first single for their forthcoming new album, "The Dark Salvation", which is eyeing an April release through Roadrunner/Island/Def Jam.
Taproot frontman Stephen Richards recently hit the studio with Headspace, where he lent his vocals to the track, "Big Brother". The song is expected to be included on Headspace's forthcoming Velvet Hammer/Atlantic debut which is currently being tracked in the Hollywood, CA area with Neil Avron producing and Dave Schiffman (System Of A Down, P.O.D.) engineering. The group were originally discovered by Taproot guitarist Mike DeWolf, and as a result landed a deal with the same label as Taproot soon after. The album is expected out late this spring.
The Gift Of Studio
Crazy Town have penned around 30 songs so far for their forthcoming sophomore outing for Columbia. The group are working on the outing at their own studio in Hollywood, CA and are still in the process of finalizing a producer for the effort. They hope to nail one down shortly and begin the recording process soon after, with a summer release being eyed.
Spanish Drowning Chamber
Drowning Pool are rumored to be planning to embark on a U.S. headlining tour in early March with Coal Chamber and Ill Ni�o in tow.
Alice In Chains vocalist/guitarist Jerry Cantrell is heavily rumored to be in the process of signing to Roadrunner/Island/Def Jam. At present, Jerry has a double album entitled "Degradation Trip" Vol. 1 And Vol. 2. recorded and awaiting a release.
Papa Roach have written 14 songs for their forthcoming new album, which they are currently recording at Royal Tone Studios in West Hollywood, CA with producer Brendan O'Brien (Korn, Stone Temple Pilots). The band have completed tracking the drums so far and are expected to take a short break soon, hitting the studio again early next year to continue work on the effort, which is planned for a June release through Dreamworks.
